The Christ Hospital – TCHP Connect

Challenge:
The Christ Hospital wanted to build an online reference tool for their physicians to better refer patients for care to specialists within the network. However, they didn’t have a final scale when starting. The tool had to be built to be scalable as new functionalities and service lines were added – and with relative promptness. It also had to work on cell phones, tablets, as well as hospital computers running Internet Explorer 9, or worse.

Solution:
I created a scalable, updatable model for an HTML web-app that would work wherever internet was available, making the process of accessing in-network physician reference information easy and fast on any device. I created a clear UI with color-referenced headers for quick and intuitive navigation and uniform scaling as the app’s depth grew to include more service lines or new information sections.

The web-app could be saved as a shortlink/hyperlink on smartphones and desktops as icons, allowing the website to be saved and essentially function like a native app without the burden of app store approval.
