Part artist, part architect, part engineer, but mostly a problem solver. My background as a former creative director allows me to understand marketing goals and concepts and incorporate those into designs to amplify experiences in concise ways. My background as a person with an over-active imagination and heightened sensitivity to the world around me allows me to build unique and impactful experiences that inspire wonder.
Artist’s Statement:
Humans are incredibly perceptive. However, that perception does not always make its way to the conscious mind, and it often dwells in the subconscious where it gently affects the actions of the conscious individual in ways they do not realize. The slightest change in the environment can dramatically affect our perception of that space. With my work I carefully explore how to manipulate these environmental cues to affect people both on the conscious and subconscious level using the minimum necessary elements. Some pieces work as a reductive change, accentuating the existing environment and simplifying. Other pieces work to create stark contrast against what is naturally perceived, pushing walls or ceilings to affect natural perception at the basest level.
Nearly all work consists of acrylic yarn used to create lines, one of the simplest artistic forms.
